.For my working practice as a freelance illustrator i met up with two different music artist i know who were looking for artwork covers. They knew that i was an illustrator and seen my work on social networking sites, i was up for the challenge and i made the decision not to charge them as a client as i am not looking for payed commissions but rather the experience of it. I arranged a meeting to see them to share ideas and have a look at where my artwork could go and how my inspirations and work style would link to their initial music style. I agreed of a maximum of 3 days to generate ideas and a final outcome giving them different dates to message me to start the unpaid commission working a maximum of 6 days for this working practice. My first day of freelance work started on the 18th of february and ended on the 20th of february for my first client, i then took 2 days off and then proceeded with my second client starting on the 23rd of february finishing on the 25th of february.

.During the time of the working practice keeping in contact with the clients was easy getting feedback responses fairly quick as we did not have weeks to discuss any changes that were to be in the process. I had to learn quickly how to manage my time efficiently in order to finish the project on time, this meant no distractions as it would slow the process down and getting a first initial piece in order to add or change anything before making anything final. Luckily for me as i knew the clients well they could give me constructive criticism to help me get the most out of my work and improve my time keeping as i am starting out. Keeping notes on what they said making sure i understood the brief well and knowing where exactly to start gather the right information to complete the job.

.After the deadline i did not hear back from one of the clients meaning i do not know if i had a successful work practice, however the other client went for it and will be using the the artwork i supplied for their music project. This means i was partially successful in my practice but i now know for the future to reinsure that the client is serious about using my artwork so my time isn’t waisted. But on the bright side i have had the experience and i now know how to avoid this with future clients but it has also helped me improve and be more careful with my artwork and the materials i use.
