For this professional practice module we were put into groups and set a group task, this consisted all of us to create an exhibition event of our work. This was a theoretical even meaning we did not actually have to set up the whole exhibition but planning it out and creating work as if we were to do so. As a group we has a pretend budget of £200 pound, we had to devise a plan for this promotional event and set each person in the group a task. We worked serious together dividing the group with each individual playing a role in this whole collective and keeping in contact for feedback and to help each other out. There was seven of us in a group five of us made work for the exhibition even and the other two made branding logos and looking for a location to hold the event which was put into consideration along with the budget. We had a group meeting to come up with a name for our group company generating different ideas that reflect us all as a group but individually as well, which whoever took the role of making the logo design would have to take into consideration creating rough thumbnails and we made a group decision to which one we would go for. The exhibition event was based around typography which was out of my comfort zone as it is not a practice i am confident about. However being in a group made things a lot easier because i was not by myself and was able to get help if it was needed. Learning from this task i have another experience and a better understanding about how business can work within a company and the work that goes into it, realising its a lot easier as a group than just tackling all the issues you might come across by yourself.
